Updates to the E-Lyte Igniter

The patented E-Lyte 110 Volt Igniter, available on lanterns by The CopperSmith or Biltmore by The Coppersmith,  now ship with a gas regulator that has been pre-set to allow for the correct gas pressue to the igniter.   Failure to install this regulator will void the warranty.  It is estimated that 80% of igniter failures are caused by improper gas pressure so for this reason, failure to install the regulator will void the igniter warranty.

The E-Lyte igniter requires a 110 Volt switch to the lantern's location.  This igniter is for use with our gas lanterns in outdoor applications only.

The igniter will turn the lantern on and off from the switch you supply.  In case of flame blowout it will attempt to re-light the flame.  This will cycle 2-3 times and if the igniter is unable to sense the flame it will turn off the gas flowing into the valve.   You will then need to re-set the wall switch after a determination has been made as to why the flame will not stay on.  Unusual wind gusts can cause this to happen so be sure and try it again once the wind has subsided.

If purchasing an igniter you will find it as an option in the power source drop down on the product detail page.

Should an Elyte igniter fail or need to be replaced, it simply unplugs from the electricty and the gas line is disconnected from below.  The modular wiring system makes them easy to change.
