Return Policy

The following is our return policy that covers purchases on our company web sites or in our Lantern Showroom.

 

Defective or Damaged Orders

 

Please inspect your order when it arrives.  You must report damages to us within 14 days of receiving the shipment.  We will issue a paid return label for the damaged merchandise or send you replacement parts if necessary.  You must accept the replacements as the remedy orthe return will be subject to a restocking fee and all shipping expenses we encountered for the order.  All returns using the RGA shipping label must be made in 14 days. 

 

If the order arrives by freight line and you see anything that looks damaged please inspect it before the driver leaves.  If you are unsure you can sign the receipt "subject to inspections".  Call us right away if you suspect any damage.  Truck deliveries are shipped on a pallet and shrink wrapped for protection.  Let us know, take a picture if possible if your lanterns have been removed from the pallet prior to delivery. 

 

Buyer's Remorse Returns

 

Anything other than damaged or defective is covered under this policy

 

 We will accept return of lanterns that are in the original packaging, which includes the plastic bag and the styrofoam the lantern was shipped in and all its original parts.  The lanterns may not have been installed.   No returns are allowed for lanterns that have been installed.  You will be responsible for the original freight we paid on your behalf to ship the order to you and for the return freight as well.   If you do not place an order for new lanterns (different size, etc) a 25% restocking fee will apply in addition to the freight charges.  We will waive the restock fee if you are ordering replacement lanterns as long as the lanterns are in the original packing as stated above.  

 

In order to ship the lanterns quickly, they are manufactured and stocked as wall lanterns.  All other applications as well as some wall mount applications and some additional accessories require permanent alterations to the lanterns.  These modified lanterns are not returnable.

Here is a list of lanterns that are not returnable

 

1. Lanterns that have been converted to install as a ceiling mount.  Chain mounts, yokes and stems are examples of ceiling mounts.  The wiring and the gas lines have been altered on these applications.

 

2. Flat top lanterns (ones with no chimney on top) that have been drilled to accomodate a top ring for use with a Top Scroll.

 

3.  Lanterns with Electric Igniters.

 

4. Lanterns in finishes other than standard antique copper.

 

5. Lanterns with any custom modifications.

 

6. Any custom lanterns and accessories or mountings (these require a signed approval before production begins and a deposit.
